Race Participant Instructions – Sunday September 19, 2010
Marathon Runners
5:00 – 5:30 AM – BUSES LEAVE FROM and PARKING IS AVAILABLE IN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL PARKING LOT behind the school off Virginia Lane. Runners meet at Daylis Stadium, located off 3rd Avenue West and Grand Avenue, for bus ride to the start of the marathon. This is for the marathon runners and the first and second runners of the relay. 7:00 AM the race starts in Molt. Any personal transportation to the start will require cars to leave early so as not to impede or endanger the runners and walkers on Molt Road. Walkers will be starting at 5 AM in Molt, please watch for them. MARATHON COURSE IS MARKED IN PAINT ON THE ROAD. MILE MARKERS ARE POSTED.
Marathon Walkers
4:00 AM - Meet at Clock Tower Inn, corner of 1st Ave. North and North 28th St., Downtown, for your ride to the start. Marathon walkers will start at 5:00 AM in Molt. Please wear reflective clothing and carry a flashlight or wear a head light. MARATHON COURSE IS MARKED IN PAINT ON THE ROAD.
Half Marathon
6:45 AM - BUSES LEAVE FROM and PARKING IS AVAILABLE IN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL PARKING LOT (see above). Runners can board at 6:45 AM for the bus ride to the start of the half marathon, and third and fourth runners of the relay. The start of the half marathon is the handoff for the third leg of the relay. The half marathon starts at 8:00 AM. HALF COURSE IS MARKED IN PAINT ON THE ROAD.
10K
8:00 AM - BUSES LEAVE FROM and PARKING IS AVAILABLE IN SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL PARKING LOT (see above). Runners can board at 6:45 AM with the Half Marathon runners if there is space available. The start of the 10K is the handoff for the last leg of the relay. The 10K race starts at 9:00 AM at Rimrock West Park located at 46th Street W. and Rangeview Dr.
Awards
The marathon, half, and 10K events winners will receive awards in age groups 15-19, 20-24, and through 5 year increments. Male and female, as well as male, female, and coed relay winners, masters and super masters winners in each event. The awards will be available for pick up at the finish line as soon as timing is complete. There will be no awards ceremony; awards will not be mailed; City Brew Coffee will provide awards.
Restrooms are located under the grand stand at the stadium. Have fun!
